COVID-19 is an ungoing, prevailing disease, originated from a series of corona virus(SARC- COV2) that the first outbreak was seen in Wuhan, China in December 2019.Almost, all the countries have been affected by this virus . WHO( World Health Organization) declared this as a global pandemic on 11th March. Up to date, there are no any specific vaccines and medicine for COVID-19 .Treatment modalities are under in estimation and is tested through clinical trails .In this scary time all the health workers have played an immense and crucial role to reduce infection and to provide treatment to those infected patients , especially the nurses ( frontlines health workers) have played a vital role in this pandemic providing treatments and controlling the chain of transmission, cross infection of COVID-19 as nurses occupy the central role in health care system , they are the heart of health care, however this nursing profession is often less recognized and looked down upon, in this contrary COVID-19 has brought a sharp and concern view due to their coping and combating capacity and their hard and formidable works in this critical time of pandemic.

Impact of COVID-19 on people’s health: COVID-19 has significantly impacted on peoples living. Though this pandemic is natural dangerous for all but it has badly affected spirit of the peoples. People are obliged to be confined within home for a long time and coping all hardships aroused by the prolongation of lockdown, social isolation , economic uncertainty, job insecurity , rapid death counts , daily onslaught of bad news, poverty, unemployment has profoundly triggered depression ,anxiety panic to the peoples mental health.

Impact of COVID-19 on ICU, critical nurses mental health:All the health workers are facing different difficulties, obstacles and challenges in this stressful time of pandemic and they are feeling health insecurity due to rapid transmission of COVID-19 , speedy increase of death counts and infected cases. Substantially ICU(Intensive Care Unit) and critical care nurses are facing more challenges and hardly coping with this irony situation , difficulties like overload of working time, long working hours, deficiency of knowledge ,ideas about new disease, insufficient working staffs , the state of being vulnerable towards COVID-19 etc has brought stress ,anxiety , agony to their mental health.
